Excellent condition with box and papers.
DESCRIPTION:
It comes in a huge special edition box complete with parchment scrolls, OEM Panerai dive strap, screwdriver and papers.
Panerai has done it again and created a wonderful special edition. This time they have wisely made a relatively large run by Panerai standards for a unique edition in 2000 units. But it won't matter or hurt the value in my humble opinion. At this low price point and stunning looks, every collector will want one, and will not want to give theirs up after they purchase one!
Only one time in the past has Panerai ever created a polished stainless-steel watch with a tobacco dial. It was a limited production piece made for Sincere Jewelers in Singapore. It was a power reserve model and it was also stunning. But only this model has the 44 mm polished stainless-steel case, tobacco dial and gold hands. NO combination is better looking. Of course, it is on a vintage style brown nubuck strap with a Pre Vendom (butterfly wing) style buckle that makes the appearance of this watch jump off your wrist and sock the admire in the eye!
Another esthetic feature is the "pig" or torpedo logo you will find engraved on the case back. Personally, I would rather have this feature on the case back, rather than on the dial (where it is on other unique editions).
This is a base (basic features) model with no extra features. When it comes to collecting Panerai, less is more. A few indices, the 3,6,9 and 12 are all that you will find on this dial. It has a hand wound mechanical movement and will last 42 hours when fully wound. The patented locking crown makes it unmistakably a Panerai!
